Day 1
DAY 1 - Arrive in Paris

Welcome to Paris, 'The City of Light'.

On arrival at the airport, meet our chauffeur who will be holding the placard with our company’s logo and your name on it. He will guide you to your vehicle and be with you till the last of your tour. Load your luggage and proceed towards your hotel.

Upon reaching your hotel, check-in and relax (check-in timings: 2 pm onwards).

Later in the evening, visit the Midnight Lido Show (Optional).

Day 2
DAY 2 - Paris – City Tour (B)

Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, proceed for your city tour. Marvel at the finest Parisian sights – the Champs Elysees, Alexander Bridge, Les Invalides, Arc de Triomphe, Concorde Square, Opera House and several others.

Later, enjoy breath-taking views from the 3rd level of the world-famous Eiffel Tower. You will then embark on a delightful river cruise along the Seine, which begins near the Eiffel Tower.

Day 3
DAY 3 - Paris – Disney Park/Disney Studios (B)

Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Today, experience an exciting day at the amusement park. You may choose between Disney Park and enjoy the several rides OR visit the Disney Studios and be astounded by the outstanding stunt shows, watch a film being made and see real-life sets used for creating blockbuster movies.

Day 4
DAY 4 - Paris to Geneva (B)

Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, proceed towards Geneva. On arrival in Geneva, check-in to your hotel.

In the afternoon, discover the international Geneva through the world's peace-making organizations. Hear about all the peaceful sites and diplomatic places such as Red Cross, UN, UNICEF, WTO.

Later, enjoy the beautiful shores of Lake Geneva. Visit Jet d'Eau Fountain, Geneva’s famous attraction and the flower clock. Explore Geneva’s old town on a mini-train and take a step back in time with Saint Peter's Cathedral: known as the church where John Calvin gave his inspiring sermons during the mid-16th century.

The imposing Romanesque-Gothic church with a neoclassical facade still dominates the center of the international Swiss town. On this stroll, you will also explore Place Bourg-de-four, original market place, the arsenal and the town hall; lose yourself in the grandeur and beauty of this culturally influential town.

Day 5
DAY 5 - Geneva – Montreux - La Gruyere – Engelberg (B)

After breakfast, proceed to visit Montreux and La Gruyères Castle in the afternoon. A visit to the castle is a journey across eight centuries of architecture, history and culture.

You’ll find views of the Saane Valley from the picture-perfect medieval town and learn about the town’s famous cheese at your first stop of the day, a local cheese factory. Follow the history and the production of Gruyère cheese from its origins to the modern day on a tour, followed by a cheese tasting.

Continue to the 13th-century Gruyères Castle, a Swiss heritage site, to explore the town’s medieval heritage—you can also see three capes from the “Order of the Golden Fleece,” captured in the 15th century Battle of Morat. After visiting the castle, you’ll have one hour to explore the town’s narrow, cobblestone streets on your own, before meeting your driver for your trip to Cailler chocolate factory in Broc. Discover some of the secrets behind the historic Swiss chocolatier and finish the day with a tasting of Cailler chocolate. This tour concludes with your return transfer to Montreux and drop off at your hotel in Engelberg.

Day 6
DAY 6 - Engelberg (B)

Today we head towards the mountains. We take you on one of the most memorable experiences of your Europe tour – a visit to Mt. Titlis. Adventure awaits you in a sensational cable-car ride up to Mt. Titlis. Marvel at the world’s first revolving cable-car ride, a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Remain spellbound as you ascend the snow-clad mountains. Experience the snow and ice on top of Mt. Titlis, also ride, ‘Ice Flyer’. At 3,020 meters a breath-taking panorama unfolds.

In the afternoon, enjoy cruising on the Lake Vierwaldstattersee (Lake Lucerne). This is the heart of European glaciated landscapes.

Day 7
DAY 7 - Engelberg – Rhine Falls – Zurich – Engelberg (B)

Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Today your will visit Rhine Falls. Your coach will pick you up from your hotel lobby and will head towards the fantastic nature spectacle Rhine Falls, Europe's largest waterfall.

It is only 23 metres high but has an impressive width of 150 metres and an average of 25'000 cubic feet of water per second (700m3/sec).

Later, you will be dropped off on the north bank of the river Rhine where you can admire the turreted castle called Schloss Laufen on a cliff directly above the falls.

The tour also takes you to Northern Switzerland close to the German border where you will drive through Schaffhausen, the capital of the canton with its famous Munot Fortress, dating from the 16th century.

Day 8
DAY 8 - Engelberg – Jungfrau – Trummelbach Fall – Engelberg (B)

Later, depart on an excursion from Engelberg to Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe. This memorable train trip from Interlaken Ost takes you via Lauterbrunnen and Wengen to the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Wall.

Then ascend by the Jungfrau Railway to the magnificent mountain world of eternal ice and snow, Jungfraujoch - at 3454mts, the highest railway station in Europe.

Visit the Ice Palace, where you see a beautiful display of sculptures made of ice and Sphinx Terraces offering breath-taking views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps.

Later, visit Trummelbach Fall, a series of 10 waterfalls in a cave-like environment, is hidden inside a mountain in the Lauterbrunnen Valley. It's a natural UNESCO World heritage site, and rightly so. Return to Engelberg.

Day 9
DAY 9 - Engelberg – Lake of Lugano – Swiss Miniature – Lugano (B)

Later, check-out and transfer to Lugano. On your way to Lugano, you will pass through an 18 Km long tunnel of St. Gothard which is known as Gothard Pass.

On your way to Lake Lugano, your driver will take you to the Swiss border to the Italian-speaking town of Lugano. Soak up additional time here to explore independently, browsing the local shops for Swiss chocolate, fine luxury goods and clothes, or checking out the scene by the lake. For a little art and culture, admire Bernardino Luini’s Renaissance Masterpiece “Passion and Crucifixion” by the Italian painter Bernardino Luini, a disciple of Leonardo and visit the church of Santa Maria degli Angioli.

Later, depart for Swiss miniature in Melide. In an area of 14,000 m2, visitors can admire more than 120 models at scale of 1:25 which represent the most important buildings, monuments and transportation means in Switzerland. A 3,560m long model railway with 18 trains runs through the park. It is fascinating to watch the variety of trains that run along the tracks, cross bridges and stop by at stations. Boats are also in motion on the lakes, cable cars and funiculars go up and down the mountains and cars move along the highway. For garden lovers, the whole park is beautifully decorated with a selection of 1,500 different plants and over 15,000 flowers. There are several coin operated rides for children.

Day 10
DAY 10 - Lugano - Milan – Padova (B)

Later, check-out and transfer to Padova Via Milan. En route take a Milan city tour. Start in late morning in the heart of the city, at the famous Duomo. The Gothic cathedral is thought by many to be one of the most beautiful churches in the world, and your guide will point out aspects of its impressive façade.

Admire its flying buttresses, and the gilded bronze statue of "Madonnina" atop the main spire. Continue to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II for a walk through the glass vaults of the majestic 19th-century shopping arcade. Often referred to as, “Salotto di Milano” (Milan’s Drawing Room), the gallery is surrounded by boutique shops and cafés.

Next, go to Piazza della Scala for a tour of the legendary La Scala Theatre opera house. Built in 1776, the theatre has played host to some of the world’s greatest musicians, including Giuseppe Verdi, Bellini, Rossini, and Donizetti.

See the beautiful horseshoe auditorium from one of the 4th row boxes. Continue to the hidden Piazza dei Mercanti and enjoy a short respite from the crowds as you thrill to Bramante’s illusion of space created during the Renaissance. Stroll through the medieval heart of Milan to Sforza Castle, the impressive fortress of the former Dukes of Milan, and now the home of many of Milan’s finest museums.

Day 11
DAY 11 - Padova – Venice – Padova (B)

After breakfast, embark from Padua and arrive at the historical Burchiello’s Stairway at Portello, which is the ancient river port of the city. Heading towards Venice, you will arrive at San Marco Square. Arrive and explore the city.

Later, we'll make our way to Murano, the most famous of the Venetian Islands, renowned to produce glass! The island is a small archipelago of various islands with around 4,500 people living there. Its history in glass-producing dates to 1291 when the local Venetian council decided that the furnaces were causing too many fires in wooden Venice. This meant the glassmakers were forced to close their businesses and move away to a new location Murano island itself.

As part of our tour, you'll visit a selected glass-factory to see a demonstration of glass blowing as well as visit the factory's showroom to admire the high quality of glass produced on the Island.

Board your return Vappretto (Taxi Boat) to Tronchetto.

DAY 12 - Padova – Rome (B)

Later, check-out and transfer to Rome. It’s hard to say what you find most breath-taking about the eternal city. Soak up the atmosphere and ambience of the beautiful and historic city of Rome! This guide tour will take you through the many wonders of the ancient city where you will see stunningly detailed sculptures, buildings and churches.

You’ll be amazed at how huge the Colosseum is. You can enjoy spectacular views of Vatican City and admire the fascinating architecture of the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Rome will leave you awe struck due to its intricate and webbed history. Savour the sights, smells and sounds of this ancient city. You will also see the Pantheon, the Piazza Navona, the Area Sacra Dell'Argentina, the Church of the Gesu, Il Vittoriano, the Capitoline Hill, and the Roman Forum. Frequently asked Questions

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season. It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
